We represent our client's needs and interests while providing education and comprehensive services on the complicated process in an ethical mannr. Our clients include diverse parties of the adoption process, including licensed agencies, prospective adoptive parents, biological parents, and foster care children through pro bono advocacy. Firm founder Liz Vaysman, Esq. has worked in the adoption legal field exclusively, specializing in domestic private adoption cases and Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children.
About Liz Vaysman
Meet The Founder
Liz Vaysman, Esq. is the Owner of Vaysman Legal and can’t wait to work with you! Liz is a licensed Pennsylvania lawyer that has helped clients with all types of adoption matters in the Southeast Pennsylvania and Greater Philadelphia area. Liz builds trustworthy relationships with clients by educating and guiding them through the challenging process of adoption.
Liz began working in adoption law as a legal assistant for Barbara B. Casey Esq. and caseworker for A Baby Step Adoption. Since graduating law school, Liz has worked as an attorney for A Baby Step Adoption on hundreds of adoption cases. Liz has specialized experience in interstate cases, and completed termination of parental rights and finalization hearings.
She has additional experience in guardianship agreements, health power of attorneys, and agreements related to Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) for gestational surrogacy carriers and embryo donation. She has counseled adoptive parent and biological parent clients on the legal aspects of the adoption process and is very knowledgeable on the topic.
Liz is dedicated to ethical adoption practices and is an AdoptMatch-Approved Attorney. AdoptMatch is a nationwide program which connects expectant parents with ethical adoption agencies and attorneys working with home study approved adoptive families.
Liz is active in the Philadelphia legal community and passionate about supporting and championing women’s and children’s rights. She serves as a volunteer Child Advocate Attorney through the Support Center for Child Advocates, representing foster care youth in Philadelphia County, where she recently served as guardian ad litem for five children who were adopted.
In continuing to learn from Philadelphia’s diverse population and those in need of legal services, Liz currently serves as a 2019 Board Observer for the Legal Clinic for the Disabled. Liz also serves on the Community Legal Services of Philadelphia Justice Rising Advocates Executive Committee, a group of young professionals promoting justice and access to legal services in the community. She is excited to continue her advocacy and philanthropy in Philadelphia’s communities that experience vulnerability.
Liz is also active as Co-Chair of the Helpusadopt.org Adoption Professionals Council, a group of adoption professionals across the U.S. that share the mission of helping kids find homes and supporting adoption grants.
Nationwide, Liz is active with Ms. JD, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to promoting women and diversity in the legal profession. Liz served as a Board Member from 2012 - 2015 as the Co-Chair of Finance Committee and the Co-Chair of the Conference Committee.
